More than two million euros per year is the salary Ajax will shoulder for Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare, a figure that halves earlier rumours of a 4.5‑million‑euro package and underscores the club’s careful budgeting on the high‑profile loan in the upcoming season.

The transfer is now "almost fully sealed," with the player spotted at De Toekomst on Tuesday 28 July, making his official presentation appear to be only a matter of time.
