€500k offer rebuffed: Portsmouth’s bid for Bielica stalls at NAC Breda

🇬🇧 By 4AllFootball Editorial ·

Around €500,000 was offered by Portsmouth for Polish goalkeeper Daniel Bielica, yet NAC Breda turned the proposal down, leaving the English club without a formal reply. The 27‑year‑old, currently under contract with the Dutch side until 2027, remains at the club after two rejected offers.

Portsmouth’s two proposals, each valued at roughly €500,000, were deemed too low by NAC Breda. The Dutch club has not issued a formal reply, leaving the transfer in limbo.

According to VI, the 27‑year‑old Polish keeper is contracted to NAC Breda until 2027. This long‑term deal reduces Portsmouth’s leverage in negotiations.

Bielica arrived from Gornik Zabrze before joining NAC Breda. He has been the club’s number one for two seasons, tallying 66 appearances.

NAC were relegated from the Eredivisie last season, a factor that could influence Bielica’s desire to leave. A drop to the Dutch second tier may make a move to England more appealing for the goalkeeper.

As the summer window progresses, NAC might become more receptive if Bielica signals a wish to depart and identifies Portsmouth as his preferred destination. Further negotiations remain possible, according to the report compiled by Ben Jackson.
