Queens Park Rangers sign Boy Kemper from NAC Breda
Queens Park Rangers have completed their first summer signing by bringing 26‑year‑old left‑back Boy Kemper from Dutch side NAC Breda. Kemper, who made 32 appearances for Breda last season, arrives in west London as the club looks to improve on a 15th‑place finish.
Breda were relegated from the Dutch top flight last season, finishing second from bottom. The relegation saw them drop from the Eredivisie.
Kemper began his professional journey with Ajax’s reserve team, then moved to ADO Den Haag before joining NAC Breda in 2023. He captained NAC Breda to promotion to the Eredivisie in his first season.
Kemper explained his ambition on the QPR website. "It’s a big club with a big history. It’s a very nice league to play and when you’re a little boy, I think everyone is looking to play in a league like this – for me, it’s also a big challenge to get the club where they belong – a club like this belongs in the highest level."
QPR finished 15th in the Championship last season. They were 15 points short of the play‑off places and 11 points clear of the relegation zone.
The acquisition of Kemper marks QPR’s first addition of the summer transfer window, aiming to strengthen the left‑back position. Kemper arrives as a left‑back with experience in Dutch football.
