Koeman demands improvement before Tunisia clash
Netherlands coach Ronald Koeman said on Sunday that his side must show clear improvement in the final group match against Tunisia, scheduled for tomorrow, if they are to finish top of the pool. He stressed that no players will be rested and that the team will play to win.
"I always make choices based on what the best team is, also for tomorrow's match," Koeman told , explaining his selection principle. He added that he applied the same approach from the first to the second match.
He said the squad must correct the aspects they performed poorly in the second match, which they discussed and trained on. Koeman also warned that the team must avoid unnecessary risks with players.
Koeman reiterated the goal of finishing first in the group regardless of how other groups finish. He described this as the best preparation for the next round.
He noted that the next opponent could be Morocco or Brazil and that he has no preference because both are difficult. Koeman said a good performance tomorrow is the best preparation for whatever opponent awaits.
