Milan's €74m Ramos deal could push total fee beyond €80m

Goncalo Ramos is set to become AC Milan’s highest‑paid player once his €74 million transfer from Paris Saint‑Germain is finalised, a deal that could swell to over €80 million with bonuses, according to reports published on Friday ahead of the 2026‑27 season. According to Friday reports, AC Milan have secured a deal to bring Portugal international Goncalo Ramos to the San Siro before the start of the 2026‑27 campaign. The transfer will make him the most expensive signing in the club’s history. Fabrizio Romano is cited as stating the fixed component of the fee stands at €74 million. Italian media add that, should all performance bonuses and commission fees be triggered, the total outlay could top the €80 million threshold. Milan’s previous record fee was €49.4 million for Rafael Leao, who arrived from Lille in 2019. Ramos’s deal therefore eclipses that benchmark by a substantial margin. The Portuguese striker is also set to become the Rossoneri’s highest earner with a guaranteed €7 million salary per season. Leao currently matches that base figure but relies on bonuses to exceed it. Saturday’s reports confirm that once the move from Paris Saint‑Germain is completed, Ramos will sit atop AC Milan’s wage bill. The deal therefore aligns his remuneration with the club’s new transfer spending strategy. A photograph from May 30, 2026 shows Ramos scoring the first penalty for Paris Saint‑Germain in the shoot‑out of the UEFA Champions League Final against Arsenal FC at the Puskás Arena in Budapest. The image, captured by Lars Baron, underscores his recent high‑profile performances on the European stage.
