Manchester City targets Moroccan star Ayyoub Bouaddi

Manchester City have signalled interest in 18‑year‑old Moroccan midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi, who remains under contract with LOSC Lille, after his World Cup knockout appearances against the Netherlands. Transfer reporter Matteo Moretto and report the Premier League club have already contacted Lille, with The Athletic noting the player could command around €80 million. Last season Bouaddi featured in 42 Ligue 1 matches for Lille, recording a single assist. His performances have drawn attention from several elite clubs across Europe. Manchester City, described as a Premier League top club, have already opened talks with Lille regarding the 18‑year‑old talent. The club’s scouting report highlights his role as a controlling midfielder. Bouaddi earned his first cap for Morocco in the run‑up to the World Cup and quickly secured a starting berth. He completed the full ninety minutes against Brazil and Scotland before being rested against Haiti, where Sofyan Amrabat came on. To date Bouaddi has accumulated five international appearances for Morocco. His World Cup knockout clash against the Netherlands further raised his profile. Besides Manchester City, other top clubs have shown interest in Bouaddi, according to reports. His market value is estimated at approximately €80 million, reflecting his rapid rise.
