Deschamps comments on Michael Olise Real Madrid link
Michael Olise of Bayern Munich has emerged as Real Madrid’s primary summer target. Florentino Perez announced readiness to launch a €150 million offer for the French winger. France national team manager Didier Deschamps was asked about Olise’s future.
Olise currently plays for Bayern Munich and has previously featured for Crystal Palace. Reports in Spain indicate Olise is aware of Real Madrid’s interest and would be open to a move to the Santiago Bernabeu. Bayern Munich maintain that Olise is not for sale.
Deschamps said Olise will decide whether to stay at Bayern Munich or seek a change, adding there is ‘no right or wrong choice’. He noted that, in the shoes of Vincent Kompany or the Bayern president, keeping Olise would be very beneficial. Deschamps added he is not worried about Olise replicating his performances elsewhere, but that comment does not benefit Bayern.
Deschamps set to rejoin France after family tragedy ahead of World Cup
Olise will join the France national team for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where he will line up alongside Real Madrid stars Kylian Mbappe and Aurelien Tchouameni. Their partnership at the tournament will be a focal point for French supporters. Real Madrid’s pursuit of Olise is complicated by Bayern Munich’s firm stance not to sell, regardless of the offer size. Perez’s ambition therefore faces a significant obstacle ahead of the summer transfer window. The accompanying image is credited to Michael Owens. Another image is credited to Reinaldo Coddou.
