Liverpool secures Mo Salah successor after Bayern battle
Liverpool Football Club have agreed terms with Bayern Munich for midfielder Jamal Musiala.
Bayern Munich confirmed the move after rejecting two Liverpool bids. Musiala’s release clause was activated at £85m.
The deal includes add-ons worth up to £255m, taking the total potential value to £340m. Liverpool will pay €100m upfront.
Musiala, 21, scored 30 goals and provided 25 assists in 55 appearances for Bayern last season. He joined Bayern’s senior team from VfB Stuttgart in 2019.
Liverpool’s attack now targets a rebuild after Mohamed Salah’s potential departure. Musiala will link with Luis Díaz and Darwin Núñez under manager Jürgen Klopp.
