Bayern Munich holds talks over Ismael Saibari transfer

Bayern München has initiated negotiations with PSV Eindhoven over Ismael Saibari. The 25-year-old attacking midfielder has entered Bayern’s radar following the collapse of a deal for Anthony Gordon, who completed a move to FC Barcelona.

Saibari, currently under contract at PSV Eindhoven, remains a priority target for Bayern’s midfield rebuild. The German club had pursued Gordon but pivoted after Barcelona secured the England international’s signature.

Bayern’s sporting director is leading the discussions with PSV’s technical staff. No agreement has been reached, with Saibari’s release clause still a key factor in the talks.

PSV Eindhoven’s valuation of Saibari’s contract complicates the potential transfer. Bayern may need to meet the release clause to progress the deal.

Saibari has made 120 appearances for PSV Eindhoven since joining in 2021. He has scored 28 goals and provided 15 assists in all competitions.
