PSV Crowned, Final Dutch Women’s Eredivisie Round Decides Europe and Relegation
PSV have already been crowned champions of the Dutch women’s Eredivisie. The final round this evening still decides the European places and the clubs facing relegation as the league will be reduced to ten teams next season.
The champion PSV will start in the second qualifying round of the Women’s Champions League. The runner‑up will also enter that round but must qualify through the non‑champion pathway, while the third‑placed side will begin in the first qualifying round of the Europa Cup.
Ajax currently occupy second place and are closely chased by FC Twente. A victory over SC Heerenveen would secure Ajax’s Champions League ticket, otherwise the outcome depends on FC Twente’s result against PSV.
Feyenoord can still match Ajax on points but trails on goal difference, +25 to Ajax’s +35. A win against relegation‑bound NAC Breda keeps third place realistic for the Rotterdam club.
The KNVB will cut the Eredivisie from twelve to ten clubs for the 2024‑25 season. NAC Breda and Excelsior have already confirmed their drop to the second tier.
Position ten, currently held by ADO Den Haag, remains uncertain because of the promotion playoff between De Graafschap and Jong Ajax. If De Graafschap win, they are promoted and the tenth‑placed Eredivisie side is relegated.
If Jong Ajax win, they cannot be promoted, meaning the tenth‑placed Eredivisie team stays up. Consequently ADO Den Haag (10), Hera United (9) and AZ (8) are still fighting to preserve their top‑flight status.
