Zidane expresses satisfaction with his first weeks as France's coach
France finished as the leader of the Nations League after a long international break, and head coach Zinedine Zidane looked very satisfied. He was positively surprised by his squad and said on TF1: ‘I have nothing to complain about’ after the win over Belgium.
‘It’s actually the opposite. I was positively surprised by the players’ attitude. These are top‑class professionals. They were seriously focused on themselves and this was a group that gelled very well,’ Zidane said.
Zidane expressed regret that his players are now flying off around the world again. ‘For them it goes on, but for me it stops now. Yes, that feels strange. Now everything we have worked on comes to a halt and that is quite frustrating,’ he said.

The twenty‑year‑old Leny Yoro made his debut against Belgium. He said: ‘I could not have wished for anything better. France‑Belgium, for our own fans, with my family there. It’s a dream come true and impressive to work under Zidane.’
Upcoming Nations League matches
The French team will regroup in November, with Italy and Turkey as the final opponents in the Nations League. One win is enough to secure a place in the quarter‑finals.
