Wolff returns to familiar waters: Ajax forward signs with Volendam

🇳🇱 By 4AllFootball ·

Ajax forward Kayden Wolff continues his career at FC Volendam, a move both clubs announced on Wednesday. The 20‑year‑old signs a deal lasting until mid‑2029 at the Markermeer, returning to familiar ground after a youth spell with the club again.

Vandaag om 13:32 the clubs confirmed the transfer, noting Wolff’s departure from Ajax and his arrival at Volendam. The announcement came via official statements from both sides. Bij Volendam supporters expressed optimism about his return.

Wolff’s contract runs until the middle of 2029 and is tied to the Markermeer region. The length of the deal underscores the club’s long‑term planning.

Between 2017 and 2021 Wolff already defended the colours of the Wijdbroeken, then as a youth player. That earlier stint makes the move a return to known territory.

While at Jong Ajax, Wolff featured in 47 matches in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie, contributing six goals and four assists. His performances there highlighted his development in the Dutch second tier.

Born in Almere, Wolff leaves the capital city to join Volendam, receiving well‑wishes from Ajax. The transition marks a shift from the capital’s football environment to the lakeside club.

He said, “It is naturally familiar ground because I played here as a youth. To hear the club wants me back is wonderful. I look forward to meeting my new teammates and staff, becoming important for the team, getting many minutes and, of course, playing for the championship.”
