Who is Alex Scott, Milan's dream, between Zielinski and Grealish

Milan have set their sights on Alex Scott, the Bournemouth midfielder born in 2003, considered the successor to Luka Modric at the end of the season. Already called up to the senior England national team, the youngster has won European titles with the Under‑19 and Under‑21.

Role and system at Bournemouth

At Bournemouth, Scott regularly occupies the two central midfield spots in the 4‑2‑3‑1, first under the guidance of Iraola and then Marco Rose. He is considered more a playmaker than a traditional holding midfielder, capable of keeping the ball at his feet and contributing to the defensive phase thanks to his physique. This combination of creativity and physical presence makes him an ideal candidate to replace Luka Modric.

Style and comparisons

His basic technique – control, dribbling and precise long passes – recalls that of Piotr Zielinski. He plays with his socks down, in full British style, similarly to Jack Grealish, and is also compared to Albert Gudmundsson. Such elegance with the ball evokes the typical Serie A way of playing.

Scott's market value should exceed fifty million euros, a figure that Bournemouth is not willing to accept for less. Milan, however, are not afraid to open their wallets, as recent investments in Gonçalo Ramos and Diego Moreira show. The red‑and‑black club sees Scott as an expensive investment but in line with the strategy of strengthening the midfield.

Scott, born in 2003, has already been called up to the senior England national team. Previously he won European titles with the Under‑19 and Under‑21, confirming his profile as a young champion.
