Villarreal eye 4‑million bid for Charleroi defender Cheick Keita

Villarreal have signalled interest in 23‑year‑old Malian centre‑back Cheick Keita, who is under contract with Royal Charleroi SC until June 2027. Africafoot reports the Spanish side have already approached the player’s representatives ahead of this upcoming winter transfer window season.

Villarreal, known as the Yellow Submarine, are reportedly prepared to make an offer of €4 million to strengthen their defence.

Keita has featured in eight Jupiler Pro League matches this season, scoring two goals, and his market value is estimated at €3.5 million.

Olympique de Marseille have also been linked with the defender, according to the same source.
