Vers a 150 M€ Premier League coup: Tottenham eye double deal
Inside the Tottenham Hotspur training ground, director Les Spalletti watches as scouts line up dossiers on two Premier League targets, while the summer’s €267 million spending spree on Sandro Tonali (€108 M), Mateus Fernandes (€99 M) and Jan Paul van Hecke (€60 M) looms over the club’s next move.
Spurs’ €267 million summer tally
Tottenham’s summer outlay already totals €267 million, driven by the €108 M acquisition of Sandro Tonali, the €99 M signing of Mateus Fernandes and the €60 M purchase of Jan Paul van Hecke. This makes the club’s spending the second‑highest in the Premier League this window, trailing only Chelsea’s €407 million haul.
Chelsea’s €407 million outlay this summer underscores the financial firepower available in the Premier League, a figure that Tottenham hopes to approach with its own ambitions.
Despite that hefty bill, the Spurs have not closed their transfer window. The London side remains determined to raise the total further as the summer market approaches its deadline.
De Zerbi’s frustration on the wing
Roberto De Zerbi has voiced clear frustration with his squad, particularly on the attacking flank now left barren after the departure of Randal Kolo Muani. The Italian coach’s comments suggest a sense of urgency to reinforce the forward line.
Double‑deal pursuit with City
According to The Athletic, Tottenham are already in talks with Manchester City to secure a double signing. The club is pursuing Brazilian winger Savinho and Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush, hoping to clinch both deals before the window shuts.
Savinho, 22, is under contract with City until 2031 after an October extension, yet he has started only seven league games under Pep Guardiola. The Times Tottenham have tabled a bid of 100 M€ for the winger, a figure that could rise as negotiations continue.
Marmoush, 27, is valued at 50 M€ on Transfermarkt, despite a contract running to 30 June 2029. His status as a backup player is expected to keep his price lower than that of Savinho, according to the same source.
A successful double signing would give De Zerbi more flexibility on the wings, allowing him to replace the void left by Muani and to rotate the front three more effectively.
