Varane watches the Champions derby at Lens: Butez's emotion

The former Varane will be present in Lens tonight, while the Como goalkeeper, Jean Butez, experiences a special moment in the same Bollaert-Delelis stadium during the Champions League tie.

Jean Butez, who played for Lille for over ten years, faces the derby with Como on this occasion.

Raphael Varane, member of Lens' board of directors, has since this summer a pitch named after him in the club's Gaillette Academy.

The French defender was one of the best talents produced by Lens before his departure in 2011 and won the World Cup with the national team in 2018 on the turf of Bollaert-Delelis.

Tonight, in the Champions League tie between Como and Sang et Or, Varane will accompany Cesc Fabregas' team and will watch the match live at the Bollaert-Delelis stadium.

"It's my first and my last club, it's obviously something special."

"In terms of probability, it was unimaginable until a few months ago."

"And now, seeing these two clubs at this level, in the Champions League, is incredible."

"I love returning to the Bollaert."

"I know this incredible atmosphere."

"Since I talk about it with everyone around me, at least there they will see this special environment."

"It will be a great moment, I hope."

"I've already decided: in any case I'll win (laughs, author's note)."

"Then, of course, I come with the Como executive hat."

"There is great understanding between the clubs and a lot of respect".
