Valuation gap threatens Liverpool’s pursuit of Barcola

🇬🇧 By 4AllFootball Editorial ·

2028 marks the year Bradley Barcola’s contract with Paris Saint‑Germain (PSG) expires, and the French winger has told the back‑to‑back Champions League winners he will not renew, prompting Liverpool to open negotiations as the Reds seek a replacement for Mohamed Salah.

The Reds are actively searching for a winger after Salah’s departure and have reportedly identified Barcola as their No. 1 target.

Barcola is said to prioritise a move to Andoni Iraola’s Liverpool side, although L’Equipe understands the former Lyon Academy graduate has yet to reach a contractual agreement with the Premier League giants.

The outlet notes a significant gap in Barcola’s valuation between PSG and Liverpool, with both clubs expected to play the patient game until the end of the summer transfer window.

Barcola, a France international, currently plays for the Ligue 1 side, where his contract is set to expire in 2028, reinforcing Liverpool’s urgency to secure the winger before his deal runs out.

If Liverpool can bridge the valuation divide, the acquisition would address the winger vacancy left by Salah and bolster the squad ahead of upcoming campaigns.
