Baena called up for Spain ahead of World Cup
Álex Baena is included in Spain's 26-man squad for the FIFA World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The Atlético de Madrid midfielder is one of three players from the club selected by manager Luis de la Fuente.

The World Cup begins in three weeks, with Spain opening their campaign against Norway in Dallas on June 19. Spain are drawn in Group B alongside Croatia and Italy.
Baena has made 15 appearances for Spain since his debut in 2023. The 22-year-old has scored two international goals.
