UEFA sanctions Partizán for incidents in match against Getafe, affecting Champions and Europa

UEFA has announced sanctions against Partizan Belgrade after the Conference League match played against Getafe on August 27 at the Serbian stadium, allowing the Madrid club to advance to the group stage. The decision, communicated by EFE and journalist Ramón Fuentes from Madrid, includes partial closures and fines for fan conduct.

Financial and capacity sanctions

The continental body imposes a partial closure of 5,000 seats in the west stand for the next home match in Europe, and a fine of €30,000. In addition, a new closure affecting 15,000 seats in the west and south stands is added, with a two‑year suspension for that measure.

Fines of €2,000 are imposed for the launching of flares and €10,000 for the use of laser pointers during the match. The sanction comes after a similar fan incident in the past, which had been pending.

The publication of these sanctions coincides with the announcement of the first matchday of the group stage in the Champions League and the Europa League, as well as news about the Primera División, according to the same outlet.
