Tottenham’s striker hunt: four targets to replace Richarlison

Tottenham Hotspur face a clear void up front as Richarlison appears set to depart and Dominic Solanke lacks a regular partner, prompting Roberto De Zerbi to prioritize a new striker this summer. The North London club’s recent defensive and midfield overhaul underscores the urgency of bolstering the attack.

De Zerbi has already reshaped the back line and midfield, bringing Sandro Tonali from Newcastle for £100 million and Mateus Fernandes from West Ham for £85 million, while Jan Paul van Hecke arrived from Brighton for £52 million. Free agents Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi and Martin Dubravka have also been added, completing a substantial rebuild.

With the forward line now thin, Richarlison is reportedly on his way out and Solanke is left without a consistent strike partner. This creates a pressing need for a quality striker who can deliver goals and complement the existing attack.

Bournemouth’s Eli Junior Kroupi tops Tottenham’s wish list. The youngster scored 13 goals in 33 Premier League appearances last season, but Bournemouth have set an £85 million price tag, and any lower offer would be rejected.

Manchester City’s Omar Marmoush is another option. The 28‑year‑old has struggled for minutes behind Erling Haaland, and manager Enzo Maresca may be willing to sanction his departure. Marmoush’s versatility would give De Zerbi tactical flexibility despite not being a traditional number nine.

Club Brugge’s Nicolo Tresoldi also features on the shortlist. The 20‑year‑old netted 23 goals and added seven assists last season, showing promise as a lone striker. Tottenham could view him as a long‑term investment, hoping to sell at a profit if he adapts to the Premier League.

Hoffenheim’s Fisnik Asllani is the final name mentioned. The 23‑year‑old contributed to 19 goals in 35 appearances in a top‑five league, but his output is less prolific than Tresoldi’s, making him a riskier gamble for the Lilywhites.

Spurs must now weigh Bournemouth’s high valuation against the potential of the other targets, while also navigating squad registration limits and financial fair play. Even the club’s nickname, Ham, is invoked in scouting reports as they seek a deal that fits De Zerbi’s attacking vision.
