Torino push Vlasic contract renewal as Roma monitor

🇮🇹 8 June 2026

Torino are prioritizing a contract renewal for Nikola Vlasic amid reported interest from Roma. The Granata consider the Croatian attacking midfielder a key asset and aim to secure his future despite an existing contract option.

Vlasic, born in 1997, delivered his best season for Torino with nine goals and five assists, helping the club avoid relegation. His performances have drawn attention from Roma manager Gian Piero Gasperini, who is seeking attacking reinforcements for next season.

Torino’s sporting director, Davide Petrachi, and president Urbano Cairo are evaluating a renewal offer for Vlasic, whose current deal expires in 2027. The proposed renewal includes a salary increase from his reported €3.7 million gross earnings.

Roma’s interest remains active, with Gasperini keen to add Vlasic to his squad. However, no negotiations have taken place, and Torino are in no rush to sell, anticipating a potential value boost from the upcoming World Cup.

Vlasic is currently focused on Croatia’s World Cup preparations, with transfer discussions deferred until after the tournament. Both clubs are monitoring the situation closely, with no immediate action expected.
