Tony Bloom stays calm – Hürzeler stays at Brighton in the Premier League
Brighton chief Tony Bloom told The Athletic that despite ongoing rumours about a possible Brighton departure of coach Fabian Hürzeler he has no concerns and rates the current collaboration as stable. The club is currently in third place in the Premier League, exceeding its own expectations.
Bloom expresses clear stance
"Generally the club chief is relaxed and said that managerial changes are also part of the business," Bloom told The Athletic. He added that he does not have any major concerns and sees the harmony between Hürzeler and his squad.
The coach, Fabian Hürzeler, has done excellent work in recent times and has significantly developed the team. Bloom praised the progress and emphasized that he expects a continuation of the collaboration in the near future.
Brighton is currently in third place in the Premier League, far above its own expectations. Hürzeler has started the team convincingly into the ongoing 2026/2027 season.
Last summer Bayer 04 Leverkusen showed interest in signing Hürzeler, but nothing materialised from that move. Bloom is, however, confident that the collaboration will continue.
Bloom sees no cause for concern in the matter and expects that Hürzeler and his coaching staff will continue to grow together at Brighton.
