The 26-year-old New Zealand international attacker moves north of the border after leaving former club Durham earlier this summer. Blake spent two years with The Wildcats after joining the club from Ninja A-League side Adelaide United.

She made 16 appearances for Durham in last season’s Barclays WSL2, scoring one goal. The move to Rangers comes as the club seeks to strengthen its squad for domestic and European competition.

After sealing her move, Blake said: “It is really exciting, the first few days have been good. I have settled in nicely. The girls have been really welcoming so it feels nice and it feels like home already which is good."

“Rangers is obviously a massive club and that was exciting to me. I think speaking to Leanne Crichton and Donald Gillies, the club has a huge amount of ambition and they want to win and that excites me."

“It was clear that Leanne wants to play a really attacking style of football, obviously dominate and win sort of at all costs especially as an attacking player that is something that is really exciting so it was a little bit of a no brainer really.”

Rangers now turn their focus to integrating Blake into the squad ahead of the new season.
