Tenerife president promises psychological aid after Jesús de Miguel dies

Presidente Felipe Miñambres, president of CD Tenerife, a football club, broke his silence after the sudden death of Jesús de Miguel, describing the club as being in a period of weakness and sadness and announcing that professional psychological assistance would be provided to players, families and supporters.
He told media: "We are all in moments of weakness, of sadness, unable to believe what has happened, but we will get through the mourning and unite with everyone around this feeling." He added that this shared sentiment must make the club more united.
Miñambres said the club already has psychological assistance: "It is a sad day and we have to spend a week of mourning; we know that players and the wives of players will need psychological help, we already have it, it has been offered and we will continue to have it." He confirmed the support is already in place.
He stressed that professional help will be required as well as the backing of all supporters, who share the same feeling. The Tenerife director said the club will rely on both expert care and fan solidarity.
