Storm Austen blocks Stade Rennais' return, Haise returns alone
While the Stade Rennais players had to spend the night in Turin after the 2‑2 draw against Juventus, coach Franck Haise took another plane and was forced to return separately, the Austen storm disrupting his flight.
A draw that satisfies
On Thursday evening, the Red and Black secured a very good draw (2‑2) against Juventus in the Europa League. This result gave supporters a solid performance despite the trip to Italy.
The Stade Rennais players, along with some staff members, were stuck in Turin, due to the impossibility of landing in Ille‑et‑Vilaine. They therefore could not return immediately, which extended their Italian stay.
Coach's flight diverted
The weather conditions in western France prevented the plane from reaching Rennes. The flight was eventually diverted to Bordeaux, leaving coach Franck Haise on a separate route from the players.
Due to the weather conditions in western France, the delegation's plane could not land in Rennes. The players therefore remained in Turin until Friday noon, when they are expected to return to Brittany from TURIN.
The return is scheduled for this Friday at noon, before the Strasbourg reception on Sunday at 5:15 pm. The RENNAIS will therefore have to prepare quickly, with NO extra recovery time after this hectic journey.
This contrast between on‑field performance and logistical difficulties shows that the Austen storm has profoundly disrupted the club's travel, separating coach Franck Haise from his Stade Rennais players.
