Spanish Getafe close to signing Carvajal and Parejo for free
Getafe, under the orders of José Bordalás, is nearing two free signings: right‑back Dani Carvajal and midfielder Dani Parejo. Both players are free agents and, according to agent Matteo Moretto, have already exchanged paperwork with the Spanish club.
Advanced negotiation
Carvajal, Spanish international with 52 caps, was left without a club after his spell at Real Madrid ended. His experience includes five Champions League appearances and one European title. Moretto said the parties reached an agreement after negotiations were complicated by league restrictions.
Parejo, 37, is also out of contract after his stint with Villarreal. The midfielder has a Europa League on his résumé and has received an offer from Getafe to return to the club where he was happy in 2009/10.

Signing expectation
Both players are exchanging paperwork and the expectation is that the deal will be completed within the next few hours, possibly between today and tomorrow morning. Getafe, which competes in the Conference League, aims to bolster the squad before the decisive stage of the competition.
Matteo Moretto posted on social media that the club has already presented the offer to Parejo and that Carvajal is signing the papers. The completion of the deals reinforces Bordalás's strategy of bringing experience to the squad at no cost.
