Martin Keown Says Arsenal Could Become Best Ever if Champions Won

🇬🇧

Arsenal Football Club face Paris Saint-Germain at 18:00 on Thursday in the Champions League final, a chance to claim their first European title. Manager Mikel Arteta’s side enter the match after securing the Premier League crown, their first league triumph in 22 years. Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown said a victory would make this squad the best Arsenal side in history.

The final marks Arsenal’s inaugural appearance in the competition’s decisive match. Their league success ended a two‑decade drought, raising expectations among English supporters. The debate in England centres on whether the current team could surpass the 2003‑04 Invincibles if they lift the trophy.

Martin Keown, who won the double with the Invincibles, spoke on Saturday ahead of the final. He argued that winning the “big ear” would merit the label “best Arsenal ever”.

Paris Saint-Germain will contest the final against Arsenal. The match will determine the winner of the Champions League trophy.

If Arsenal triumph, the club will add a Champions League to its trophy cabinet for the first time. A victory would confirm Arteta’s successful season after the league title.

The final is scheduled for 18:00 local time, with a global audience watching. The fixture concludes the European season.
