Serie B joins Fantacalcio: platform launch set for September

The Serie B season kicks off on Friday 21 August with Vicenza hosting Catanzaro, while the league simultaneously prepares a digital debut: a Fantacalcio platform for over 7 million users, announced at the Fantacalcio Unveil event and slated to launch in the second half of September.

During the Fantacalcio Unveil, the Lega Serie B confirmed that the online gaming platform will host a dedicated portal, allowing fans of the second division to experience the championship in a virtual environment.

Details on how users will access and use the Serie B‑specific portal will be released in the coming weeks, with the service expected to go live from mid‑September onward.

Fabio Guadagnini, director of marketing, commercial, media and communication for the Lega Nazionale Professionisti B, said the league’s entry into the Fantacalcio ecosystem "represents a concrete opportunity to strengthen our brand and offer fans an increasingly immersive experience."

Nino Ragosta, AD of Fantacalcio, echoed the sentiment, stating that the collaboration "will enrich our offering and shine a spotlight on a championship long synonymous with talent and regional connection."

The Serie B campaign begins with the Vicenza‑Catanzaro match on 21 August, marking the first competitive fixtures before the digital platform becomes operational.

This juxtaposition of on‑field action and a new online experience highlights the league’s strategy to broaden fan engagement, combining traditional matchday excitement with a modern, interactive fantasy environment.
