Serge Gnabry returns to Bayern Munich after Germany camp

Serge Gnabry has left the Germany‑Camp and returns to Bayern Munich to prepare for the Bundesliga’s return. During the break he was used in both Jürgen‑Klopp‑squads for the four UEFA Nations League matches and took part in the first three games, to get fit again after his adductor injury that kept him out of the summer FIFA World Cup.

In the 2‑0 win against Serbia he wore the captain’s armband for the first time and called the experience “wonderful”. He emphasized that wearing the armband was a special feeling for him.

Ahead of the clash with Greece he returned to Bayern Munich to prepare for the resumption of the Bundesliga. There is no indication of a new injury, so he is expected to be available for the Bundesliga‑Matchday‑5‑duel against Augsburg.
