Scott Parker named West Ham manager

© Photo News – Scott Parker, former coach of Club Bruges, has been appointed new manager of West Ham United, following the dismissal of the Portuguese Nuno Espirito Santo. The former Club Bruges coach, 46 years old, has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract until June 2029.
Having arrived at West Ham this summer, Arne Engels will reunite with Parker, whom he met in the stands of Jan Breydel Stadium while he was playing for Club NXT, a period during which Parker oversaw 13 matches for the club between December 2022 and March 2023. West Ham, relegated at the end of last season from the Premier League, sit in 8th place in the Championship, six points behind leaders Middlesbrough, after two consecutive home defeats that cost Espirito Santo his job.
Former player of the club from 2007 to 2011, Parker is recognised as a Championship specialist, having guided Fulham, Bournemouth and Burnley into the Premier League in 2020, 2022 and 2025, before being dismissed by the Clarets on 30 April for failing to keep the club in the top tier.
