Sancho deal at Getafe – Form wins, hurdles loom

Nicolò reports that Jadon Sancho has been without a club since the end of his contract with Manchester United last summer, but his future is taking shape as rumors of a near‑term move to the Spanish La‑Liga club FC Getafe are growing louder and could bring him back into top‑level European football after months of unemployment.

Rumors and Spanish Perspective

Just a few days ago rumors were circulating that the former offensive star of Borussia Dortmund is poised for a move to Spain. According to Sky Sport this scenario is rapidly approaching completion. The 26‑year‑old winger is therefore expected to make the step to FC Getafe in the coming days. Nicolò points out that this could happen very soon.

FC Getafe recently signed former Real star Dani Carvajal, underscoring the Spanish club’s interest in offensive reinforcements. The link with Sancho could further improve the team’s attacking record. Nevertheless the deal remains dependent on several conditions. The Spanish club FC Getafe plays in La Liga.

Obstacles before the Completion

The Sancho deal still has to clear two hurdles to be considered a done deal. First, a decisive meeting between Sancho and Getafe coach José Bordalás is pending, in which the sporting cards will be laid on the table. Only after this exchange does Sancho intend to make a final decision.

Second, Sancho must make a major concession from a personal standpoint, the exact nature of which is not yet known. These two points will determine whether the transfer materialises.

According to the English Telegraph, the 26‑year‑old winger is being offered a weekly salary of £10,000 at Getafe. That would be a substantial drop compared with the £250,000 he last earned at Manchester United, where he was regarded as a 23‑cap English international.

After months away from football his loyal fans are eagerly awaiting a fresh start for the Englishman. The final big question remains whether Sancho will overcome the two hurdles and agree to the new terms as well as the sporting roadmap at Getafe.
