Leeds United’s €30m bid meets Juventus’ late surge for Suzuki
Leeds United are prepared to meet an asking price of around €30 million for Parma goalkeeper Zion Suzuki, a fee that would make him one of the most expensive keepers on the market, as Juventus have now entered the race for his signature.
Leeds have been pushing hard for the Parma goalkeeper, with personal terms reportedly already in place, and he is described as “one of the best talents”.
The involvement of Juventus, a club of that size, changes the dynamics and gives the Italian side fresh leverage in negotiations.
Parma now have a very obvious reason to hold firm on their valuation, with the asking price around €30 million—a hefty figure for a goalkeeper even after a string of outstanding World Cup performances for Japan.
Juventus have recently sold Giovanni Daffara to Parma for €6 million plus add‑ons, creating a direct line between the clubs and helping Parma prepare for life after Suzuki. Parma’s move is called “a clear move to prepare for life after Suzuki”.
Leeds remain ahead of other Premier League suitors such as Aston Villa, but Juventus can offer Serie A continuity, Champions League pull and a familiar environment for a player who has already built momentum in Italy.
Leeds moved early, did serious work and may still secure the deal, yet the arrival of a giant club often squeezes English clubs outside the top bracket.
The broader market context shows European giants competing for a €30 million‑rated star, highlighting the pressure on mid‑tier English clubs in the transfer market.
