Vozinha's repeated delays spark doubt over Colo-Colo deal in Chile

By 4AllFootball ·

Cape Verdean goalkeeper Vozinha, signed as a new signing for Colo-Colo, has postponed his arrival in Chile for the third time, missing a scheduled landing in Santiago that was expected on Tuesday, then Wednesday, and most recently last Thursday again this week.

The club originally expected Vozinha to land in Chile on Tuesday. The arrival was then moved to Wednesday, but the schedule changed again, with a planned disembarkation on Thursday that did not happen.

Jaime Pizarro, the CEO of Colo-Colo, downplayed the situation, stating that the delay stemmed from personal issues. He emphasized that the club remains committed to integrating the goalkeeper once he arrives.

“Foi solicitada uma prorrogação para resolver algumas questões pessoais. Obviamente, foi concedida para que ele pudesse atender suas necessidades,” he told La Tercera. The statement the club granted an extension to accommodate his needs.

In Santiago, supporters have expressed growing distrust over the prolonged silence. Since the announcement six days ago, Vozinha has not posted any reference to Colo-Colo on his social media.

In the past few hours, the goalkeeper posted pictures with fans while on vacation in Cabo Verde. The caption read, “The greatest trophy is to inspire the next generation,” without mentioning his new club.
