Real Madrid’s €25 million offer stalls Vinicius Jr’s Premier League move

🇬🇧 By 4AllFootball Editorial ·

Real Madrid are desperate to retain Brazilian winger Vinicius Jr, whose pace and flair were pivotal after his strong FIFA World Cup showing, and they have put a €25 million per‑season wage on the table to block any Vinicius Jr Premier League suitors.

The club’s proposal amounts to €25 million each season, a figure that would place Vinicius alongside Kylian Mbappe as the highest‑paid members of the Real Madrid squad. President Florentino Perez and Co have signalled willingness to raise the salary to secure the deal. Vinicius’ renewal could make him the highest‑paid alongside Mbappe.

Negotiations have stalled because Real Madrid and Vinicius’ camp cannot agree on economic terms, with the club reluctant to match Mbappe’s wages. Perez and Co fear that a massive raise would set a new wage ceiling for the squad.

Defensa Central reported that the winger rejected two Premier League bids, a development captured in a photo by Dan Mullan/Getty Images. The rejection underscores his commitment to staying at Real Madrid.

Brazil’s Round of 16 exit was a blow, yet Jose Mourinho views an early return to club duties as positive. Vinicius Jr and Brazilian prospect Endrick are expected back for preseason in July, as shown in a Lars Baron/Getty Images picture. The wage impasse remains the main obstacle, and the club’s wage‑ceiling concerns could delay the signing.
