Ravenna leverages Ronaldinho Gaúcho's comeback to boost global brand

Ravenna Football Club has turned the long‑awaited return of Ronaldinho Gaúcho into a dual‑track campaign, pairing on‑field excitement with a worldwide branding push. The Brazilian legend will feature in the classic against Forlì on 15 November at 13:30 Brasília time, while the club rolls out new merchandise and promotions.
Ravenna announced a partnership with Panini to issue special Ronaldinho Gaúcho cards featuring the club shirt. The collection is priced at 10 euros and offers prizes such as caps, signed shirts and a meeting with the former star. Fans can purchase the pack through the club’s online store.
Match day fuels global push
The club confirmed that Ronaldinho will take the field in the classic against Forlì on 15 November, kick‑off scheduled for 13:30 Brasília time. In parallel, Ravenna has launched advertising campaigns, personalised products and promotional actions aimed at expanding its brand worldwide. The initiative follows a surge in interest from ticket‑seeking supporters across several regions.
Ravenna currently counts roughly 2,800 members who enjoy priority access to tickets, while about 1,500 seats are earmarked for the general public. Italian media report that requests for tickets and accreditation have arrived from multiple regions, underscoring the growing appeal of the event.

The team plays at Bruno Benelli stadium, which is undergoing renovations and presently holds 4,943 spectators. The reduced capacity adds urgency to the club’s ticket‑allocation strategy.
Milan streets showcase Ronaldinho
Ravenna has placed billboards bearing Ronaldinho’s image across Milan, including locations such as San Babila and Brera. Each poster carries a QR code that directs viewers to the online shop where the Brazilian’s jersey can be bought.
On 17 October the club opened an official store in the Mercato Coperto, offering the new Panini packs and club merchandise. The shop forms part of the broader effort to commercialise the Ronaldinho brand in Italy and beyond.
Ronaldinho Gaúcho has become a shareholder of Ravenna and is actively involved in the international expansion project. He has not played competitively since 2015, when he represented Fluminense in Brazil.
