PSV must still cover an injury in the Austrian squad after Geertruida
On Sunday evening, in Austria, the young PSV midfielder Paul Wanner, 20, left the field after 68 minutes while playing for his national team against Kosovo. The injury follows the return of defender Lutsharel Geertruida, who earlier in the week had a minor calf complaint.

Wanner had provided an assist in the second half of the duel against Israel, played last Thursday, after which he earned a starting place against Kosovo. The international match ended in a 3-1 victory for Austria, under the guidance of Ralf Rangnick, who considered the Israeli side too strong with that score.
However, after the assist Wanner had to be substituted due to a ‘physical complaint’. The exact nature of the injury is still unknown and further examination will determine whether he remains fit enough for future call‑ups.
The match against Kosovo was Wanner's ninth international for Austria. He had previously had the option to play for Germany, but chose Das Team last year.
For PSV this means a second young player who now has to remain out of the squad, after Geertruida earlier in the week returned to Eindhoven with a minor injury.
