PSG's €50m gamble on Akliouche reshapes French transfer market

🇫🇷 By 4AllFootball ·

Vandaag, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) confirmed they will sign 24‑year‑old midfielder Maghnes Akliouche from AS Monaco for a reported €50 million, making the Frenchman the most expensive domestic transfer of the summer and the latest move by the Fransen side to bolster their squad.

reported that PSG’s pursuit intensified after early‑July the club had lodged an initial €35 million bid, which AS Monaco rejected, prompting the Parisian side to increase their offer.

The Parijzenaars then entered fresh negotiations, eventually agreeing on the €50 million fee, although final financial and contractual conditions remain to be finalised.

The Fransman, a 24‑year‑old Franse midfielder, is contracted with Monaco until 2028, giving PSG a long‑term asset as they secure his services.

Akliouche has logged 139 appearances for Monaco, contributing 23 goals and 28 assists, underscoring his creative influence from midfield.

He has also earned ten caps for the French national team, reflecting his growing reputation on the international stage.

His form attracted attention from Bayer Leverkusen and several Premier League clubs, highlighting the broader European interest before PSG secured his signature.

De €50 million outlay makes Akliouche PSG’s most costly domestic acquisition this summer, while Monaco gains a substantial fee that could fund future squad reinforcements. The move underscores the Frans ambition of PSG to remain dominant.
