PSG Mercato pursues Luis Pacheco despite a €100 m clause

PSG’s transfer market continues to monitor Luis Pacheco, a young defensive midfielder from Palmeiras, even though the Brazilian is protected by a €100 million release clause according to information from Itatiaia, confirmed by several Brazilian and French media.

Intensive monitoring since the summer

Last August, the Parisian club sent a member of its scouting department to Brazil. The scout stayed for about fifteen days, observing Pacheco and also a young player from Vitória.

The 18‑year‑old midfielder was specifically targeted during the Copa Libertadores match against Cerro Porteño, although he ultimately did not take part in that game. PSG therefore took several opportunities to continue its observation.

€100 million release clause

Palmeiras recently extended Pacheco’s contract by including a release clause that can reach one hundred million euros, a sign that the Brazilian club already knows the talent is attracting interest in Europe.

Despite this high price, the Parisian club is content to monitor the player’s development, who is beginning to establish himself gradually in Abel Ferreira’s professional squad.

Having already identified Lucas Beraldo and Gabriel Moscardo, Paris therefore continues its strategy of scouting young Brazilian talents.

If Luis Pacheco continues to progress, he could become one of the next names to enter PSG’s plans, further strengthening the Parisian club’s presence in the South American market.
