Pietas inspires Roma's 2026/27 away kit unveiling with Adidas

🇮🇹 By 4AllFootball ·

AS Roma and its kit partner Adidas unveiled the 2026/27 away jersey today, a design that draws on the Roman virtue of Pietas and the club’s heritage. The white‑base shirt features a warm‑white background, a yellow‑red chest stripe and the historic 1938 crest, marking a fresh look for the season.

La Roma’s clean aesthetic is intended to embody the yellow‑and‑red club’s connection with its supporters. It highlights Roma’s traditions and the duty of players to wear the shirt with pride. The complete set includes matching shorts and socks, completing the full kit for the season.

The design showcases a warm‑white background crowned by a yellow‑red stripe across the chest. At the centre of the stripe sits the club’s ancient crest, first introduced in 1938 and used in various forms until the 1946/47 season, appearing exclusively on this jersey. The colour scheme reinforces the club’s iconic yellow‑and‑red identity.

A red Adidas trefoil sits between the classic motif and the collar, adding a modern brand touch. The back of the collar bears the phrase “ROMA CHIAMÒ,” a nod to the Campo Testaccio anthem and the enduring bond between the team and its fans.

Engineered for high‑performance football, the shirt is constructed from lightweight, three‑dimensional fabrics that mould to the body, enhancing fit, comfort and freedom of movement. The 3D engineering ensures the material moves in sync with the player’s muscles.

Adidas’ CLIMACOOL+ technology provides advanced sweat‑absorption, while strategically placed mesh panels improve airflow and breathability throughout the match. These mesh zones are positioned to optimise ventilation where it is needed most.

The new away kit went on sale on 6 August 2026 and is available at the Roma Store, the official club website, selected Adidas retailers, as well as through the Adidas app and online shop. Fans can purchase the full set immediately, marking the first time the historic crest appears on a modern kit.
