Over €5m fee looms as Rangers confirm Antman's Anderlecht exit
Just over €5 million is the reported fee for 24‑year‑old Oliver Antman as he prepares to leave Rangers for RSC Anderlecht, a move confirmed by Rangers manager Derek McInnes on Wednesday after the Finnish winger travelled to Belgium to finalise the transfer.
The update, posted today at 17:35, said the transfer is now only a matter of time. McInnes confirmed the player has already arrived in Belgium to complete the paperwork.
"An agreement has been reached and Oliver has travelled to sort everything out," McInnes told the Scottish press. He added, "I am fairly certain everything will go well for him."
British media report that Anderlecht will pay just over €5 million for the 24‑year‑old attacker. The fee reflects the club’s willingness to invest in a player they see as a key addition.
Antman joined Rangers a year ago from Go Ahead Eagles, but the Finnish international appears ready to move on after a single season.
Rangers are expected to make a profit from the deal, according to the club’s statements.
Anderlecht view Antman as an important reinforcement for the flanks. The purple‑white side has been searching for extra quality in that position and believes the Finnish international fits the bill.
An official confirmation of the transfer is still pending, with both clubs awaiting final signatures.
