Olympiakos close on Anass Salah-Eddine as Roma deal stalls

Anass Salah-Eddine is on the brink of a notable transfer after his loan spell at PSV, with AS Roma and Olympiakos reportedly edging toward an agreement. According to Eindhovens Dagblad journalist Rik Elfrink, the two clubs are close to finalising the move, although a personal contract with the 24‑year‑old Moroccan left‑back has not yet been secured.

Salah-Eddine impressed during his season‑long loan at PSV, featuring in 25 matches for the Eindhoven side and providing one assist from the left‑back position. His performances attracted attention beyond the Dutch league.

Internationally, he was selected for Morocco’s squad at the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico, where he appeared in up to four matches, adding valuable tournament experience to his résumé.

The negotiations, as detailed by Elfrink, involve AS Roma and Olympiakos, with the Greek top‑flight club said to be nearing a deal with the Giallorossi. However, Elfrink notes that no personal agreement with Salah-Eddine has been reached, leaving the transfer uncertain.

A return to PSV is also off the table. Technical director Earnest Stewart reportedly told the club that the door for a comeback is closed, despite earlier interest from PSV to strengthen their defence. The defender had previously opted for a move back to Italy.

The next steps hinge on securing a personal contract with Salah-Eddine. Until the player signs, the prospective move to Greece remains pending, and both clubs must resolve the outstanding terms before the transfer can be completed.
