Norway's noisy hotel switch jeopardises England quarter‑final prep

🇬🇧 By 4AllFootball Editorial ·
Norway’s team, fresh from a Sunday victory over Brazil, was forced to relocate from the Dalmar hotel in Ft. Lauderdale after a single night due to excessive construction noise, just days before their quarter‑final clash with England at the 2026 World Cup. Stale Solbakken said "a few players" were battling an illness. Team Norway has dealt with some type of ailment throughout the event. Jorgen Strand Larsen and Marcus Holmgren Pedersen have already missed games at the event due to sickness. The team’s layoff after the Brazil win was meant to be a long rest. Instead, the illness has lingered throughout the tournament. Norway also decided to change hotels just days ahead of the England match. The Dalmar in Ft. Lauderdale was abandoned after one night because of construction noise that disturbed the squad. Captain Martin Odegaard told The that "some things could have been better, and we fixed them." He added that the adjustments were made to optimise preparation for the important Saturday fixture. England arrive as the favourites, yet Erling Haaland has helped turn Norway into a legitimate World Cup contender. The victor of the quarter‑final could ultimately win the tournament, making Norway’s health and rest crucial for Saturday. A fully fit showdown promises a high‑quality spectacle for global fans.
