Napoli's Champions League road map unveiled after August draw
On Thursday 27 August 2026, the UEFA Champions League 2026/27 group‑stage draw took place, confirming Il Napoli as one of four Italian clubs set to compete in Europe’s premier club tournament.
The draw, held on 27 August, determined the fixtures for the Champions League phase that begins later this year.
Napoli joins three other Italian sides, marking the club’s third season under the new competition format.
In total, 36 clubs have been confirmed, all placed in a single ranking after eight matches have been played.

Europa League parachute removed
The traditional Europa League parachute no longer applies; clubs failing to reach the round of 16 or the playoffs will be eliminated from European competition.
The first phase kicks off on 8 September and will run through the eighth matchday on 27 January 2027.
