Napoli eye loan for Franco Mastantuono as Fiorentina hold out

Napoli are reportedly considering a loan move for Argentine youngster Franco Mastantuono, while Fiorentina remain the closest suitor but have yet to finalize the deal, 2007‑born talent is set to leave Real Madrid in this summer soon.

Franco Mastantuono, an Argentine talent born in 2007, is currently attached to Real Madrid and is eligible for a loan spell this summer. The player has attracted attention from clubs seeking a promising midfielder.

Fiorentina is described as the nearest Italian club to secure the 18‑year‑old, yet the "fumata bianca" – the final agreement – has not materialised. The club is said to be ahead of other interested parties in the race for his signature.

According to Il Mattino, Napoli have also asked for information on Mastantuono. The club’s interest would require a different type of negotiation than a straight loan, and no such arrangement has been concluded yet.

"And then those rumours coming from Spain that are gaining more confirmation: Napoli have also asked for information on Franco Mastantuono. He is leaving Real Madrid, Fiorentina in Italy is clearly ahead of the other suitors but the deal has been missing for days. Milan was also interested, but the trail seems to have cooled. So Napoli: the proposed straight loan would not suit the blues, a different negotiation would have to be started, which has not yet happened. The Argentine talent born in 2007 would find the Champions League in blue, certainly a factor," reported Il Mattino.

The report appeared in Il Mattino's Calciomercato section of Serie A, was highlighted on Google Discover among the "Fonti preferite", and was catalogued under the Stampa A− A+ classification. The article concludes that the proposed formula for a loan has not yet been activated.
