Juventus eyes Romano, Doumbia or Ndour to strengthen the midfield
On Monday afternoon in Bologna, during the Nations League in which Italy beat Turkey 3‑1, Juventus executive Giovanni Carnevali outlined the future direction, targeting Alessandro Romano, Issa Doumbia and Cher Ndour.
Evaluations and interests
Carnevali, together with sporting director Marco Ottolini and captain Giorgio Chiellini, observed the three youngsters on Monday evening in Bologna. The Juventus management has already started the first negotiations to make the squad more Italian.
Alessandro Romano, born in 2006 and from Cagliari, is considered the ideal reinforcement in midfield. The base value is set at €20 million, three times the €6.5 million spent by Roma to snatch him FROM Cagliari'S LIST. Milan and Inter are also on his trail.
Issa Doumbia, born in 2003, comes from Sporting Lisbon, where he was bought by Venezia for €20 million plus €6 million in bonuses. The contract expires in June 2031 and includes a release clause of €80 million. DOUMBIA's value far exceeds that of Romano.
Italian dominance in Bologna puts pressure on the Red Devils' chances
Cher Ndour, born in 2004 from Fiorentina, has a market valuation lower than the other two. However, the negotiation will not be easy, given the role of Commisso and Paratici at the helm of Fiorentina. Juventus will have to face a delicate negotiation.
In the meantime Juventus has already set its sights on the Italian Under‑21 goalkeeper Lorenzo Palmisani of Frosinone. The left‑back Matteo Ruggeri, born in 2002, is also being monitored, having moved in the summer from Atletico Madrid to Aston Villa for €25 million, €5 million more than the €20 million received by Atalanta the previous year.
Italy beats Turkey but Samuele Inacio stays on the bench: future uncertain
With these moves Juventus aims to strengthen the team with Italian talent, making the squad more Italian. The project, already announced by Carnevali, marks a new chapter for the Bianconeri as they aim to consolidate their future.
