Napoli eye Embolo as striker solution while Milan also in the mix

Napoli’s urgent hunt for a new striker has intensified after the confirmed exit of Romelu Lukaku and the looming departure of Lorenzo Lucca, leaving the club to replace Højlund; the Swiss forward Breel Embolo has emerged as a candidate, with Milan also reportedly linked to the player.

Napoli is awaiting clarification on Lukaku’s future and Lucca’s possible exit, prompting the club to consider market options for an attacking replacement to Højlund.

According to Calciomercato.com, Napoli’s management received a proposal for the Swiss striker Breel Embolo, who currently plays for Rennes.

Embolo, born in 1997, turned 29 this year and is described as an experienced profile.

The club faces a summer mandate to rejuvenate the squad while also lightening the wage bill.

Intermediaries have also put Embolo on Milan’s radar, suggesting the Italian side could be a potential destination.

Ben Jacobs confirmed that Atlanta United has already initiated preliminary talks about Embolo, alongside interest from several Premier League clubs.

Embolo’s transfer value is currently estimated at around €15 million.

Consequently, Napoli may need to re‑enter the market to secure an alternative, while Milan and other interested parties will assess the €15 million price tag.

Il report was highlighted on Google Discover, listed under the Fonti preferite and Stampa A− A+ categories.
