Milik stays injured as Spalletti excludes him from Serie A

Injuries are haunting Arkadiusz Milik, Juventus striker who has not played a single minute this season and who last Sunday suffered a new muscle injury, according to Piotr Nowak of EFE for the International Football section.

Injury history

The Polish forward injured his knee on June 8 while playing for the Poland national team, which forced him to miss the entire 2024‑2025 campaign. In February 2021, when he was at Marseille, a knee problem kept him out until the end of September that year.

A year later, on June 25, 2025, Milik suffered a tibia fracture that kept him inactive until December. Since June 2024, the striker has only accumulated 34 minutes of play, appearing as a substitute on two occasions before being omitted from the Serie A and Europa League squads.

Coach's assessment

Luciano Spalletti has expressed his appreciation for the forward, but the persistent physical condition prevents Milik from being registered in Serie A or the Europa League. Therefore, the only competition in which he could be fielded is the Coppa Italia.

Options in the Coppa Italia

If he manages to recover, Milik will be able to take part in the Coppa Italia, where Juventus will face Sassuolo in the round of 16 on December 3. That would be his only way to step back onto the pitch wearing the black‑and‑white shirt.

The Italian club had signed Milik permanently in 2023, after a loan from Napoli and a stint at Marseille in the 2021‑2022 season. His injury record, however, remains an obstacle to any long‑term plan.

The contrast between the confidence of Spalletti and the inability to register Milik in the major competitions reveals a nightmare that seems endless, leaving Juventus without a reliable offensive option for the current campaign.
