Milan rally at the Olímpico to earn a draw against Lazio

Under the floodlights of the Estádio Olímpico in Roma, the roar of the biancocelesti faded as Milan, two goals down, surged in the second half to secure a 2‑2 draw. The comeback, sparked by substitute Diego Moreira, left the Serie A table reshuffled.

First‑half dominance by Lazio

Os supporters watched as the biancocelesti opened the scoring. Matteo Cancellieri found the net early, and Tijjani Noslin added a second before halftime. The side coached by the Portuguese Rúben Amorim did not produce a strong first stage and were not forgiven.

Milan’s tactical shift

Em the break, Diego Moreira replaced Pervis Estupiñán, taking on the responsibility of averting defeat in the Italian capital. The young Portuguese‑born winger immediately injected pace into the Lombard side.

Diego Moreira became the protagonist of the revival, netting both of Milan’s goals in the final 45 minutes. His first strike levelled the score, and a second effort completed the equaliser, leaving the visitors with a point.

Milan now sit in fourth place with eight points after two consecutive draws. Lazio, after three opening victories, slipped for the first time but remain top of the league with ten points.

The rossoneri’s next Serie A clash is scheduled for 20 September at the San Siro against Lecce. Gattuso’s side will travel to Venice a day earlier to meet Venezia.
