Media hype around Real Madrid – Tchouaméni denies fight

While the media have turned the past months around Real Madrid into a fireworks display of scandals, French midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni emphasizes that there has never been a physical confrontation between him and Fede Valverde. Denis, a young Real‑player, was also mentioned in the discussions, but both are said to have received a fine of 500.000 Euro each.

Earlier Drama in the Club

The first media attention arose when Vini Jr. publicly criticized his then coach Xabi Alonso. The confrontation was described as the central drama of the season. It eclipsed Real Madrid's sporting performances.

Shortly thereafter, Kylian Mbappé came into conflict with his successor Alvaro Arbeloa. This confrontation was also portrayed as another flashpoint. Criticism came from the training rooms, further fueling the tensions.

Tchouaméni's View and Consequences

The most negative highlight, however, was the alleged brawl between Aurélien Tchouaméni and Fede Valverde. Valverde subsequently suffered a skull‑brain trauma and had to be taken to hospital. Tchouaméni denied any physical confrontation.

In his podcast The Bridge, the 26‑year‑old Tchouaméni explained: "People talk a lot, but there was no brawl between Valverde and me. Yes, it's true that things happen in the dressing room, but we never fought each other."

He also emphasized that the media attention is generated solely by the name Real Madrid. "The only problem with the whole thing is that it's Real Madrid and everything, no matter how small, gets blown up insanely," he added. With this, he criticized the exaggerated reporting.

Despite his statements, both Tchouaméni and Valverde were hit with a fine of 500.000 Euro each by the royal officials. The fines were imposed as a reaction to the alleged misconduct. They show that the club takes the incident seriously.

In the upcoming Clasico against FC Barcelona on Sunday evening at 9 p.m., both players are likely to be in the Blancos' starting eleven. The pressure on the pitch is enormous, as every decision is analyzed immediately. A possible win would keep Real Madrid from a deficit of eight points, while a loss would widen the gap to the same number.
