Marseille’s early move on Valinčić outpaces Serie rivals

Olympique de Marseille have formally inquired about the availability of Dinamo Zagreb right‑back Moris Valinčić, 23, after the Croatian’s performances attracted the French club, putting them ahead of Serie A rivals Inter Milan and Napoli who have only monitored the defender.

The inquiry was reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, who noted that OM (Olympique de Marseille) have asked Dinamo Zagreb for detailed information on Valinčić’s contractual situation. The French side’s request signals a serious interest in securing the defender.

Marseille’s scouting department said the data will determine whether a summer transfer can be arranged. Clarifying the contract terms is essential before any deal can be finalised.

Serie A clubs Inter Milan and Napoli have also kept tabs on the 23‑year‑old Croatian. However, neither club has submitted a formal offer this summer, limiting their interest to observation.

Born in 2002, Valinčić has emerged as one of Dinamo Zagreb’s standout performers this season. His contributions have been pivotal in the Croatian club’s European campaign.
